Model Horses Helping CA Fire Recovery

As of Monday, January 13th, over 23,000 acres have burned, over 200,000 people have been evacuated, and thousands of homes have been lost.  We're on the opposite side of the country, but we know lots of collectors in California, and our heart goes out to everyone affected by these terrible fires.  We're only a small, family business, but even small businesses and individuals can help those who have lost everything.

It's tempting to think that everyone who lost their home was rich, or has insurance to cover everything, but of course, that's not true.  The fires affect those who work at McDonald's, at hospitals, at animal rescues... Let's not forget them just because they live near folks who are better off.

If you've been wanting to help, but aren't sure which charities are valid, here's an easy way you can help.

For our part, we're increasing the percentage we give to charity from every order from 1% to 3% for a while, and adding California Community Foundation's Wildfire Recovery Fund to our beneficiary list.  CCF is a well-vetted organization with a history of helping people get back on their feet after tragedies in their region.  They provide both immediate relief, but also long-term support to help families after the media has moved on to other stories.

When you purchase from us while we're supporting CCF, 3% of your purchase will go to our three beneficiaries, with each receiving 1% (CCF, Razom, and Riding To The Top).  We're also adding a donation button that will allow you - if you like - to round up your purchase to the next even dollar, or to add a donation in the amount you choose.

All donation money we collect is automatically forwarded to the beneficiary organizations via Pledgling Foundation, which monitors our site, automatically withdraws donations, and forwards them to the beneficiary charities.

You can also donate to CCF's Wildfire Recovery Fund directly at:

You can always see the running total raised by Triple Mountain for beneficiary charities  at the bottom of our home page.
