Here's something you don't see every day... A ceramic version of Breyer's Lying Foal.  This cutie is glazed white with a smooth finish and is permanently mounted lying on a "hill" made of a tree burl and accented with moss.  On the base's bottom there are felt discs to protect furniture.  While there is no signature/maker's mark on it, we'd guess it dates to the late 1970s or early 1980s, based on the style of the piece.  If you like unusual pieces like I do, this is a great one for your collection!

No damage was seen to the horse:  Her white glaze is bright and smooth.  Base is also almost like new, except that the moss has dried and tends to come off if handled.  She will be bubble wrapped well for transit, but we can't guarantee the safety of the moss.
