This stunning grey Thoroughbred is a portrait of champion racehorse Native Dancer, who won 21 of 22 starts. His only loss was unfortunately in the Kentucky Derby, where he came in a close second after being fouled twice during the race. He went on to win the Preakness and Belmont, and then sired 306 colts, many of them champions as well. He was called the Grey Ghost, for reasons apparent in this lovely sculpt by Maureen Love. This mold was used by Breyer for a time, but is a Hagen Renaker original. Shade may vary, since these are individually hand-painted.
