Clydesdale Stallion, Woodgrain - Retired 1964
This is the very hard-to-find Woodgrain Clydesdale Stallion, only made from 1959-1964. Woodgrain was a labor-intensive process, involving multiple layers of special paint. Every single one was unique.
This fellow is in Very Good condition with three missing bobs, making him a great restoration candidate! He shows a lack of paint on the sides of his tail and ears (probably factory - these areas are known for not holding Woodgrain paint well), a small dark mark on his chest, and a scattering of pinpoint rubs and marks. He's such a rare piece, though, that these can be easily overlooked. There are several great restoration artists in the hobby who can replace his bobs and touch him up - Providing you a beautiful vintage Woodgrain! If you want to make arrangements with one and have us ship directly to him or her, we're happy to. Just put him on Hold when you purchase him, and then let us know what address to ship him to. We'll charge you only the appropriate shipping to that address.
