Hello to all our collectors in Canada! We appreciate you and will always do our best to insure your models arrive safely to you.
With the Canada Post strike, packages at Canadian Postal hubs are piling up and not getting delivered. We worry about models in boxes being at the bottom of large bins with stacks of heavy boxes on top of them for weeks, so we're delaying shipping to all Canadian customers until the strike ends and CP has gotten caught up with all the backed up packages currently at their hubs.
We have a special Hold Shelf designated for our Canadian customers, where we are keeping orders safe until CP is back to normal. We'll add your order to the shelf with your name on it, so it can gallop out once we know mail has resumed there and the hubs have been cleared of backed-up packages.
We always try to take good care of both our customers and their models. I do apologize for the delay, but even if we ship now, they won't get to you while the strike is underway, but instead will be at risk of danger while they sit in piles of boxes at the hubs. We tried UPS shipping for one customer, and they added a huge delivery fee for the customer, which was not advertised, so we've sworn to never use UPS internationally again.
If waiting for the strike to end and hubs to clear won't work for you, please let me know and I'll cancel and refund your order, but as long as you don't mind waiting until they can be safely delivered, we'll take good care of them here and continue watching for updates on the strike. We have a couple of frequent customers in Canada who update us regularly on what's going on there. (Big thank-you to them!)
As of October 10th, 2025, we understand the strike is moving to a "rotational strike." That means they'll work for a period of days, then strike again, then repeat. This is supposed to help avoid a complete and utter mess of undelivered packages sitting for potentially months, but the concern is that people who would have avoided shipping during a shutdown will now ship in the hope that the package will get through. Instead, the sorting hubs will back up even further, because of less labor and more people trying to ship. We are continuing to wait for 1) the strike to fully end, and 2) Canada Post to clear the logjams of packages at the hubs so that when we ship, your models will go straight through as usual.
