Canadian Collectors: Getting Around the Canada Post Strike

As of Friday, November 29, 2024, USPS is temporarily halting shipping to Canada, due to the labor strike at Canada Post.  There's no sense having boxes pile up somewhere when they aren't going to be sorted and delivered, so this makes sense, but it's terrible timing, with the holidays quickly approaching.    We hope the strike resolves soon, but since shipping deadlines for Christmas are coming up in the next couple of weeks, we're doing what we can to help you get what you need.

To help Canadian collectors, we're turning on UPS Ground shipping until the strike ends.  We have found that they sometimes add an unexpected delivery fee before they deliver to non-US buyers, which we can't see or predict, but that the customer will have to pay to UPS in order to receive their order.  That makes this a less-than-great option, and is why we normally don't offer their service internationally.  However, if you need items before Christmas, this might be worth putting up with.

I also want to remind you that we offer our unique Hold Your Horses Program™ so you can Hold your purchases here until the strike resolves, if you don't need them right away.  Simply choose the Hold Program instead of a shipping carrier at checkout, and we'll keep them on our special Hold Shelves for up to six months.  You won't pay shipping at the time you place a Hold order, and you can order additional items to add to your Hold Herd as you see fit.  When you're ready for your Hold Herd to ship, simply email Eleda for a shipping invoice.  We'll get your pretties all tucked into their shipping box and email you an invoice for whatever it will cost to ship the whole group together.  Once their shipping is paid, they'll gallop your way.  (Full terms of the Hold Your Horses Program can be found through the link at the bottom of our website pages.)

Have a model day,

Eleda
