Sculpted to look like actor this set was made as portraits of Kelly and his , Little Man. Little Man was a palomino Quarter Horse owned by the actor Kelly Reno, who played Alec in "The Black Stallion." Kelly and Little Man were great friends, and Roy created this portrait on the Stock Horse Stallion mold to honor that bond, with Little Man's golden coat, four airbrushed socks and a masked blaze. Originally, he was part of a set that came with a bareback pad and halter. The set was only produced in 1984-1985. All parts of the set are hard to find nowadays.
This fellow is Near Mint with only a few pinpoint rubs and pinpoint marks, and mild age yellowing. Sunbathe him for a few days and watch him brighten back up. He also has a hairline scratch up his rump from the side of his tail to his hip. He features a funny blaze: It's got a fairly crisp edge on one side, but the other side appears airbrushed. He also features nostril shading and unpainted eye whites.
