Buffalo with white coats are so rare that each one that has been spotted since the 1800s has been recorded. The list on wikipedia is very short, and shows how carefully each has been documented. That's because they're not only rare, but considered sacred by several Native American nations. Breyer's version, made only in 1992 & 1993, wears a red handprint on his hindquarter as a symbol of the respect they are given. Interestingly, no known white buffalo were living at that time, but the year after Breyer's model was discontinued, a female called Miracle was born.
This fellow is Near Mint with a tiny rub on his right horn and a couple of tiny hoof edge rubs. He features lots of lovely grey shading and a neatly hand-painted handprint.
