Chris Hess's iconic Running Mare has enjoyed a long, storied run in the Breyer stable. She ran from 1961-1987. She wears four airbrushed socks and a bald face. Early models sometimes have factory hand-painted eye whites.
This lady is in Excellent to Near Mint condition with a scrape on the back of her left gaskin, a couple of tiny rubs under her belly, tiny eartip rubs, and mild age yellowing. She is a very early girl, with hand-painted eye whites and no USA stamp. She has some sooty shading on her face as well as her nostrils, beautiful highlights all the way to white, and a high satin, almost semigloss, finish, which is not seen very often.
Her foal with a matching finish (without eye whites) can be adopted here, while he lasts.
