Trivets are beautiful and functional! They are designed to protect your table and counter from hot dishes. They are made of metal to stand up to years of use, and have short feet that keep the hot dish you place on them separated from your surface. We use one just like this every day! They are also often collected and hung on the wall as decorations.
This one is made of beautiful brass, and features a rearing horse image. The front side is polished, the underside is not, as is usual. It has three small feet, and it's still in its factory sealed plastic bag.
