The palomino Western Pony was sold through various depart-store catalogs as "Small Groomer" in the 1950s through the early 1970s. The style of the horse's saddle bags changed several times, as did the original contents of the kit, which may have included a toothbrush, hair comb, nail file, ballpoint pen, nail clippers, or even a tie clip, at different times.
This lovely girl is Near Mint with just a few tiny rubs and mild age yellowing. She features palomino shading at the tips of her mane, reins that still have some shine, and a lovely semigloss finish. She even comes with her grooming kit saddlebags, which are "tooled" with Western images, including spurs, brands, ropes, and more. They were designed to have a cinch snap onto the underside of the saddlebags, but she didn't have a cinch when I bought her. They stay on just fine without one, and you can't tell that there isn't a cinch on normal display. They will be wrapped separately for safe traveling. She is from Eleda's personal collection and will include a collection card for provenance.
