Andalusian, Dark Grey - JAH SR

1998 was an exciting year for Breyer collectors, as it came with this introduction of a whole new set of twelve Stablemate molds - the first new ones since the scale was introduced in 1975.   Only 5000 sets were made, available only to "Just About Horses" magazine subscribers, and each set was numbered.  That set marked the debut of the Andalusian mold, and he wore an gorgeous, dark dapple grey coat for his first release.  He's handsome, and so it's no wonder they don't often come up for sale!

This fellow is Near Mint, with several pinpoint spots that got missed by the factory painter, and some tiny marks on his left front sock, probably smudges of body paint.  He features subtle dapples and the attention to detail this premier release is known for.
