The classic book by James Herriot, a real Yorkshire Country Vet at the turn of the last century, full of anecdotes about a vet's life at the time, from birthing cows to healing horses, dogs, pigs, and all manner of animals. Some stories have sad endings, some happy, as is true for any vet, but many are humorous and written in such an engaging way that you won't want to put the book down. There's a reason it's a classic!
It has some age yellowing of the pages, and slight staining and warping of the edges of the last hundred-ish pages (shown in photo), but doesn't affect reading or displaying the book.
