The Breyer Buffalo was one of only a few non-Woodgrain models used by Dunning Industries on their table lamps in the late 1960s time period. The lamps, made for their Ranch Craft line, features routered solid wood bases with felt bottoms, spiraled brass poles, and originally came with burlap lamp shades. Finding any Breyer lamp in good condition these days is a score - Finding an uncommon one like the Buffalo is a treasure!
He is Near Mint with a tiny rub on the bottom of his goatee, one on his tail, and a pinpoint rub on his right barrel (backside of lamp). He has the slightly hazy finish that most likely comes from having been polished with Pledge in the past. His base is in great condition with no major issues, just a bit of normal wear. The felt on the bottom is intact. The lamp post shows minor tarnishing. The finial shows only slight tarnishing. The finial cap is even included! (Light bulb is not included.) The wiring is original and the lamp does work; however, because it is an antique, non-polarized plug, we recommend it only be displayed, not used.
This is a really beautiful piece for the serious collector. It is large and cannot be dismantled for shipping, so it will require a large box for shipping.
