When his owners promised to do everything they could to save his life, the world held its breath, while the great folks at the University of Pennsylvania's Veterinary School of Medicine went to work. Unfortunately, the ending was sad, but Breyer decided to honor both the horse and those who tried to save him with this portrait model as a benefit for the Barbaro Fund.
Breyer donated $10 from the portrait model to the Veterinary School's New Bolton Center for the treatment of all horses, helping them expand and save many more lives. This model was released in 2007 for a single year only,
