In this original release for the Clydesdale Mare and Foal, they are rich chestnuts with airbrushed socks and blazes.  They were sold together as a set from 1971-1990, and came with green felt blankets with white trim.  Only the earliest blankets have metal hook closures; later ones use Velcro.

The mare is Near Mint with just eartip rubs and a tiny hoof edge rub.  She is a beautiful, dark lady with vintage highlights, unglossed eyes, muzzle pinking, and bright whites.

Her foal is Very Good condition with no breaks, chips or splits, and she actually displays well!  She is marked down for tiny eartip, muzzle and tail rubs, a tiny rub on her right hip, and a couple of other even tinier rubs.  She also was standing too close to someone spray painting, as she has a coating of teeny white speckles on her right side.  She displays well with her mom, and shows off subtle highlights, light muzzle pinking, unglossed eyes, and bright whites.

They both come with their original blankets, which are the mottled green and straw-gold of the oldest ones.  Their white thread has darkened some with age, but they are rated as Near Mint, and even feature the original metal hook closures.  They will be shipped on the horses, since they are shaped to them and wouldn't like to be folded flat.  A sheet of clear plastic will be wrapped around the models to protect them from the metal hooks (shown in final photo).
