El Pastor ~ Precipitado Sin Par (CIPS) w/ Your Horse Source Order Form & Box
Here's a neat find for two reasons. First, Precipitado Sin Par was Breyer's Limited Edition back in 1987. This gorgeous tri-colored pinto Paso Fino was the son of El Pastor (the horse for whom this Breyer mold was made) and Marisol Sin Par. Born in 1976, "Cips" as he was known, stunned audiences with his brilliant coloring and beautiful carriage. He became the first horse to win the Paso Fino Owners and Breeders Association Championships twice when he won back-to-back titles in 1984 and 1985. He competed in Trail, Western Pleasure, Versatility, Performance, and Pleaseure (Stallions). It was fitting that Breyer made a tribute to him on his sire's mold.
This is also a neat find because he comes with a piece of collecting history. Inside his box we discovered not only the receipt from his original purchase from Your Horse Source, but also a blank Your Horse Source order form. YHS was one of the premier Breyer dealers in the 1980s, often commissioning exclusive, low-run Special Runs from Breyer. They are no longer in existence, and this is the only blank order form we've ever seen from them. This is a great piece of collecting memorabilia! This fellow is Near/Factory Mint with well-painted, tri-color eyes and clay-pink hooves. He may have initials written on the bottom of his feet, invisible while on display. He comes with his original box, plus his original receipt (purchaser's info may be blacked out) and the YHS order form.
