The Fighting Stallion is one of the few vintage models chosen to wear the Woodgrain pattern in the early days of Breyer.  He was made in this color beginning in either 1961 or '62 (records haven't been found to distinguish the starting year) and discontinued in 1973.  He is one of the few releases that Breyer made with painted white socks and stripe.

This fellow is in Excellent condition a tiny white mark under his belly, a red mark on his rump, a pinpoint eartip rub, and tiny hoof edge rubs.  He's marked down predominately for the red mark and for moderate yellowing in his white markings, which I haven't seen happen before.  He does have a slight odor, so I'm guessing he was either displayed where kitchen grease or smoke hung in the air for a long period of time.  The odor is only faint, but he's been out in the open here during processing.  It may be stronger when you first unwrap him, but should dissipate.  I think a good cleaning would do him a lot of good, and since he has almost no rubs, he's a great restoration prospect!  He even has most of his foot and tail pads.  NO USA mark.
