The Fighting Stallion is one of the few vintage models chosen to wear the Woodgrain pattern in the early days of Breyer.  He was made in this color beginning in either 1961 or '62 (records haven't been found to distinguish the starting year) and discontinued in 1973.  He is one of the few releases that Breyer made with painted white socks and stripe.

This fellow is in Body condition, but he still deserves to be displayed!  He has a broken left eartip, a scratch on his right barrel, and a few tiny/pinpoint rubs.  His biggest issue, though, is that he has the bubbly finish that many of these have developed through the decades.  It gives him an interesting feel and look.  Some people like it, some don't.  Personally, I have a bubbly one in my own herd and adore him.  He features a rather light color tone, like oak, and unpainted eye whites.
