Chris Hess's iconic Five Gaiter mold was made in this chestnut coat from 1963 to 1986. He features a honey-colored body and a mane and tail so dark, he's nearly a bay. He wears an airbrushed bald face, four socks, and white ribbons with red Xs on them.
This fellow is Near Mint with just a couple of pinpoint factory unpainted spots and one tiny hoof edge rub, along with mild yellowing that you can reverse by sunbathing him for a few days. He's a gorgeous example of a B-stamp model, with a warm coat color, near-black mane and tail, shaded nostrils, matte finish ribbons, and unglossed eyes with unpainted eye whites.
