Chris Hess's iconic Five Gaiter mold was made in this bold chestnut from 1963 to 1986. He features a honey-colored body and a mane and tail so dark, he's nearly a bay. He wears an airbrushed bald face, four socks, and white ribbons with red X's on them.
This fellow is in Excellent to Near Mint condition with the only rub seen being a tiny, light one on his left stifle, which doesn't go all the way to plastic. He has a few pinpoint specks in his finish as always, and a small rough patch on his right shoulder. He is marked down almost solely for moderate age yellowing, which you can reverse with a week or two of sunbathing. He features the "honey bay" body color that appeared toward the end of production, with a near-black mane and tail, nostril shading, and ribbons that are almost solid red.
