The Equine Center, a Breyer dealer from Remsen, NY, appears to have either printed the box brochures for Hartland themselves in 1994. This item marks an important time in Hartland history: In July of 1993 a flood had destroyed the Stevens Mfg plant where Hartlands were made. As the business struggled to recover, having to rent a building on the other side of the river and buy new equipment, it is said that some employees had to get to work by boat for several weeks. Construction started on a new building early 1994, but due to the financial setback of the flood, as well as model paint issues cause by them having to scrounge for different brands of paint and clearcoat, this was the end of Stevens producing Hartland. That makes the fact that The Equine Center appears to have produced a 1994 brochure for Hartland even more poignant - Perhaps they did it to support the struggling company, hoping to increase sales to help them get back on their feet. These are very hard to find these days, and we were lucky to receive this one.
It is in Near Mint condition and features the image of a bay Mustang on the front cover.
