In one of the most famous horse books of all time, a brave English girl believes her horse The Pie (short for piebald, meaning a black pinto) can win the Grand National steeplechase race. One problem, women aren't allowed to ride in it, and she's the only one who can ride him. Their adventures inspired girls everywhere to fight for their opportunity to follow their dreams! Breyer's set includes The Pie with his black pinto coat and one blue eye on the Jumping Horse mold, with a stone wall jump/base and a copy of the novel. The set was only produced in 2003-2004.
This fellow is still attached in his original box with his book. The box is damaged on top, with cracking and pieces of the plastic missing, but still protects him well. The consignor added a piece of Scotch tape to the top panel to help prevent further deterioration.
