One of the first Thoroughbreds to be honored by Breyer with a portrait model, Man O' War is a name known worldwide.  Foaled during WWI, he was named for the fierce fighting vessels.  He won 20 of his 21 starts, often running away from the pack.  There was no competition for him - He simply outclassed every horse that came against him.  That one loss?  He had reared behind the starting gate and his jockey had backed him up to line him up again when the starter dropped the barrier, leaving him unprepared and far behind the pack.  He flung himself forward with a vengeance, overtaking horse after horse, and finished in third place.  He was never behind in another race.

This fellow is in Excellent condition and a cool variation model!  He is marked down for a scattering of tiny and pinpoint rubs, plus a tiny white mark on each side of his rump. He features absolutely beautiful highlights, a speckly paint job, and a high satin finish.  He's a beautifully painted early variation model with black muzzle and inner ear shading, hand-painted eye whites, and hand-painted battleship grey feet!  No USA mark.
