Thunderbolt was Marx's first and most popular horse, and he remains popular today. The bay Thunderbolt was produced from 1965-1975. Military miniaturists like Thunderbolt because he is made in 1:6 scale, the scale they generally work in. He is also tack friendly, both for saddling and for harness, with his mouth open and tail raised.
He is hard to rate - He has only a very few rubs. He does have tack melt marks, though, as usual. (Marx tack, when left on a horse, will eventually react with the horse's plastic and create "melt marks.") His tack IS still removable, it hasn't melted onto him, so we'll remove it for shipping. He's a complete or near-complete early set! He comes with his original black saddle, separate black saddle blanket, cinch, adjustable stirrups, and bridle with reins. He also has his original saddle bags! All of the tack is Near Mint, other than creating the melt marks, and that the rifle doesn't come out of the scabbard. He even comes with his original, first-issue box from 1967! Now the box is in rough shape - The top flap has come off and some small pieces have come off from it, but the flap is still included. He even has his original tack assembly instructions! What an amazing set. He comes from Eleda's personal herd and will include a collection card for provenance.
[Breyer wood saddle stand not included.]
Size: Approx 1:6 scale (He stands about 13.5" tall to the eartips.)
