A Bit of Ma(i)ne Model Horse Fun Day Registrations
Come enjoy A BIT OF MAiNE with us on Saturday, May 2nd!
May 2nd will be an Artisan's Hall / Swap Meet / and public Fun Day.
Where: American Legion, 17 Dunn St., Westbrook, ME
Time: 12 - 4pm
We'll be advertising to the public and that will give you the opportunity to show off your work not only to other artisans but to people curious about the hobby as well. We welcome model horse sculptors, customizers, tack makers, prop makers, wagonsmiths and others in the model horse hobby! Even non-artisans are welcome to rent a table and sell retired models, customs or resins. [No current-production model sales allowed, as Triple Mountain will be selling current production models from our mobile model store on-site.]
We will offer Stablemate Painting to the public as well as raffles and other fun. There's a rumor that Breyer's own Pal O' Mine mascot may even make an appearance!
Make great use of your table to advertise your work, work on a project so you can demonstrate your artistry (people LOVE to see and connect with artists), and sell finished pieces or take commission reservations. What a great way to have fun and inspire other horse lovers!
Our Model Horse Weekend is coming up on May 2nd and 3rd! Download the show/event packet here with directions, class list, and more important info!
***May 3rd Show is full***
May 3rd will be our Open and Novice Show. Holly Conner has offered to create medallions as Division Champion awards! We will be using the Region X tagging system. Once you register for the show, please email Eleda with your Region X number. If you aren't set up in Region X, please visit www.regionXnation.com to request a reg number and enter your show horses into their site. This is required, as are Region X format foot tags.
You may register for one or both days. A table on Saturday is $20. Show registration on Sunday is $40 for Open Division and $25 for Novices. Novices will be asked to share a table. If you're entering Novice Division and need a whole 8' table, registration is $40... Register as Open and then let us know you'll be showing in Novice with a full table.
Please note, you only need to register for Saturday if you want to have a table to demo your work an/or sell items. No sales are allowed on the property without a paid registration. You're welcome to come and visit with the artists, purchase models, and participate in all the fun for free.
By registering for either day, we will put you on the show mailing list and email updates as we have them.
We're hoping to make this a NAN-qualifier, and have applied for a Show Model from Breyer. If we have good turnout this year, we plan to make this an annual event, with the intention of making it even better next year, so if you'd like to have a fun weekend with other horse lovers and support a NAN show in Southern Maine, please join us!
Registration is limited to 20 for each day due to space constraints, so register early!
Contact Eleda with any questions.
