Here's something truly special!  These guys are so hard to find that even Stone Horse Ref hasn't documented them with certainty.  Peter Stone released this lovely turquoise Western Pleasure Horse as a Limited Edition in the first six months of 1999.  Most have solid faces, but a very few were given little snips.
From the www.StoneHorseRef.com website:
The Precious Stone Series consists of models that are designed to resemble a precious stone. This one resembles Turquoise. The Turquoise WPH was the 3rd in the Precious Stone Series, according to the 1999 product catalog. This model was produced Jan-June 1999, and the Turquoise Performance Horse (also considered 3rd in the series) was produced July-Dec 1999. Designed by Ed Gonzales, and painted by the Stone Factory painters. The white snip variation is estimated to be on 60 models.

The first batch, about 60 pieces, of the Turquoise WPH models turned out to be more teal blue than turquoise. Later batches are darker blue with black shading. Unknown if any of these pieces had the white snip variation.

This fellow comes from Eleda's personal collection.  She purchased three by pre-order before the model was released in 1999, so these are definitely some of the earliest produced.  However, they appear to have the sooty shading that was supposedly a mark of later models AND the rare snip variation!  These guys are the complete package for the true Stone lover or WPH collector:  This guy is Factory Mint with no issues seen.  This is our very last one!  I don't expect we'll ever see another.
