The Breyer Standing Donkey was copied bay a Hong Kong manufacturer, probably in the 1960s or '70s.  This version is slightly larger than the Breyer one (see last photo of him with some Breyer friends - not included... He is second from the left) and is made from a thinner plastic.  He is done in a deep bay with pretty highlights, four socks and an airbrushed bald face with muzzle pinking.

He is in Excellent condition with a group of scratches on his right barrel and flank, and some tiny ear edge rubs.  Other than that, he's just as he came from the factory!  He has the usual paint flaws of a Made in Hong Kong knockoff, but they show his history.  He wears the "Diamond I" logo, along with "Made in Hong Kong" and the model number 869.  He features a beautiful, soft cocoa-colored coat with a darker mane and tail, bright painted whites, and muzzle pinking.  He's really a standout, and will be beautiful in any Donkey conga!

Model #669

Size:  Very slightly larger than the Breyer Traditional Standing Donkey
