Welcome!

We're run by collectors, so we all speak the same language here!

Collector-In-Charge

Eleda Towle

Howdy! I've been collecting since the 1970s, when at age four I asked my parents for a horse and they bought me two plastic ones.  I still have those two... Only now they have plenty of friends here!  My first Breyer was a Grey Appaloosa Family Stallion.  I became a Breyer collector when my grandmother presented me with another model, and I discovered it was the same mold, only in a creamy palomino color.  I remember incredulously thinking, "They make them in more than one color?!?!?" ...And that was the moment that started it all!

A Collector's Dream

A Place for Collectors of All Ages

Come on in and let your inner child free! Selling model horses is our origin, and we still focus on them, while we've also expanded to other collectibles. We are a Breyer Flagship store, carrying their complete line of Traditional models and nearly everything else! We also carry thousands of retired models from lots of manufacturers, including Hartland, Copperfox, Peter Stone, and more, on our website. (Photo taken fall, 2023. Selection may vary.) Our Story

Since 2012.... Still Family Owned and Operated!

Integrity in all things

The Beginning

Triple Mountain Model Horses started in 2012, by a happy accident.  A friend asked if I'd help her sell some of her collection. My husband had recently had a negative experience buying models online, so we recognized the need for a retired-Breyer dealer with great customer service and honest listing practices.  That became our mission statement for Triple Mountain:  "Integrity in all things," and is how we've grown to become one of the world's largest and most trusted sources for retired models. And we're still a Mom & Pop family business!

A Collector's Dream

Triple Mountain Store

From that humble beginning, we opened our store and became a Breyer Flagship retailer in 2016. Our store is a hub for collectors in the Northeast, and a fun place to visit! Since then, Breyer has honored us with an article called "A Collector's Dream" in 2018, we were voted Editor's Choice Best Toy Store in Maine by DownEast Magazine in 2021, and Eleda became one of the Curators for the Identify Your Breyer reference websites.

In 2023, we added LEGO to our offerings and the fun continues to grow!

If you find yourself within driving distance of Western Maine, we hope you'll come by. If not, don't worry - We ship worldwide.

  • Special Programs for Collectors

As a small business run by collectors, we've worked hard to develop unique programs to help other collectors. Foremost is our Hold Your Horses Program™, which allows frequent customers to Hold their purchases here to combine shipping on multiple orders, which saves shipping money.

We also offer a payment plan to make those bigger purchases affordable, so you can finally get your Grail models!

  • Helping Others

We believe every business should give back to its community. We are a Pledge 1% business, giving 1% of our total sales income to charities. We also maintain a charity account for our regional animal shelter. When folks donate models to this account, proceeds from those models' sales go to the shelter to help animals in need. As of 2023, we have raised over $10,000 for the shelter from model sales!

  • Taking Care of Our Mountain and Our World

Triple Mountain store in Hiram, Maine, was put together using the guidance of LEED standards for sustainability. We power the store, plus our home and office, mainly with solar electricity, use efficient heat pumps for heating and AC, LED lights, and recycle more than we throw out!

We are a re-use drop-off location for local businesses and the community, accepting clean packing peanuts, bubble wrap, and boxes for re-use in shipping orders, keeping good items out of the waste stream for another use!
