The Family Arabs were made in matte Charcoal only from 1967 to 1973. They were advertised with the names: Hickory, Dickory and Doc. They wear black, or dark charcoal brown-black bodies with white mane, tail, four socks and bald faces.
This lady is Near Mint and the best condition we've seen on this release! She has a few pinpoint white specks or rubs (so tiny I can't tell which), a tiny pink speck on her tail, some shiny areas in her finish, and pinpoint eartip rubs. She also, of course, shows mild age yellowing, but should brighten up some if you sunbathe her for a while. She has some tiny spots that missed getting painted where her tail is closest to her rump, and a veil of overspray in her front socks that's kind of pretty, as well as a tiny smudge of body paint on her right hind hoof. These are all natural parts of the production of that era and give her a unique history. She's a beautiful brown-toned girl, with lovely pink hooves and muzzle and unglossed eyes. With old matte finishes being so fragile, she's amazing. You would be hard-pressed to find a nicer example of this vintage girl! She is from Sheryl Leisure's personal herd, and comes with a collection card signed by Sheryl.
