Hagen Renaker produced fine quality, hand-glazed ceramic figurines in California for over 75 years, until they closed in 2020. This beautiful galloping Thoroughbred was originally sculpted by Maureen Love as a portrait of famous racehorse Seabiscuit. Since then, Hagen Renaker has released him in other colors, and his sculpt has been used by Breyer as well. This release is a beautiful chestnut with a darker mane, tail and lower legs. He comes standing securely on a base designed to look like a sandy arena (or racetrack).
