This vivacious tolting Icelandic was an amazing Premiere for the Fine Porcelain "Evolution of the Horse" series. He was a Limited Edition in 1992. Done in the Traditional size as a rich buckskin pinto, he appears mostly hand-painted. For a 1990s model, he certainly stands out for his detail and quality. The inside of his ears is shaded, and his eyes are painted with incredible detail for Breyer. He features a dorsal stripe, painted chestnuts, and clean edging on his markings. Being the first in the series, he's highly sought after, and they rarely come up for sale.
This fellow is Near Mint with no rubs or aftermarket marks. He's marked down only for the usual hand-painting flaws: He has a couple of pinpoint specks of tail paint on his right hindquarter and a few specks in his porcelain as always. He is a lovely representative of this release, with a dry-brushed dorsal stripe and muzzle shading. He features bright whites and beautifully painted eyes. He even comes in his original box. The box is pretty rough, but it protects him well, with the shaped Styrofoam insert keeping him safe. He comes from the collection of Linda Dean.
Being porcelain, his shipping weight is expected to be around 5 pounds.
