In 1988 Your Horse Source commissioned Breyer to make the Phar Lap mold in three special colors for them in runs of only 500 each. He is done in liver chestnut with lovely shading, including shaded knees and hocks over airbrushed socks. This has been the most popular of the four colors, and since most have disappeared into collections, he is hard to find today.
He's in Very Good to Excellent condition, with a scattering of tiny rubs on his left legs and hooves. He's also a shrinky, and is getting pretty small! His lower legs are fading in color, which makes him look like a variation, but it's because of his shrinky status. He's a neat conversation piece! He stands well currently, but his mold is known to be tippy, and being a shrinky, he's likely to get tippier, so we recommend Museum Putty or a Horse Safety Rack to keep him safely upright.
