Triple Mountain Model Horses, a horse-themed hobby store located in Hiram in Western Maine, is recreating that event in miniature for our region by hosting a first-of-its-kind event in Maine!
On Saturday, May 2nd, we are holding a Model Horse Fun Day and Artisans’ Hall, where horse lovers are invited to come meet others and enjoy model horse-related activities, showing that collecting and competing can be fun for people of all ages.
Activities include:
- Learn about collecting and competing with model horses: Hear from judges how they judge classes at model horse shows
- Stablemate Painting: Paint a tiny model horse and then take it home as a souvenir.
- Enter to win model horse-related prizes in our raffles!
- Meet incredibly talented model horse artists in our Artisans’ Hall: Participants include a model horse sculptor, customizers, tack makers and prop makers – Watch them work on their latest creations and ask questions to improve your own skills.
- Buy models, model-scale tack and accessories.
- Breyer and Copperfox Model Horses will have representatives on hand to show off their models and answer questions.
- A Hobby Horse Derby may be held, weather permitting.
- Triple Mountain will have our mobile model store open with all of Breyer’s new releases for sale
