With data breaches showing up in the papers regularly these days, we wanted to take a moment to let everyone know what steps we take to keep your data safe. After all, buying online takes a lot of trust, and as with everything else on our site, we want you to know that we take that trust very seriously.
You'll notice that the address for every page of our site begins with https - The "s" signifies a secure site. To the left of the address bar, the little padlock will be displayed as locked the entire time you're on our site as well, which is another way you can easily tell that a site is secure. Be wary of sites that do not show up as secured in your browser, particularly any that you might be putting personal info into.
Data security is such an important factor in shopping these days, that we've chosen the company we believe to be the most secure in the world to handle our data. Our host is Shopify (NYSE: SHOP) a company renowned for their high level of data security. They are certified PCI Level 1 compliant. In order to be certified to this level, they must continually meet all six categories of compliance standards set out by the industry: Maintain a secure network, protect cardholder data, maintain a vulnerability management program, implement strong access control measures, maintain an information security policy, and regularly monitor and test their networks. All of this means that Triple Mountain is also PCI Level 1 compliant. No one at Triple Mountain ever sees identifiable payment card data, and customer information needed for shipping (name and address) is kept secure on Shopify's network.
Our physical store in Hiram processes all card payments through the same Shopify system, ensuring that those transactions are also handled with utmost security.
We thank you for the trust you show us every time you visit or purchase from our site and our store. We know that trust isn't a one-time deal, and so we'll continue to monitor Shopify's advancements in security and insure that our site maintains these top standards.
Now, since you've read through this kind-of boring post, you deserve a silly horse picture!
