Chris Hess's iconic Five Gaiter mold was made in this bold chestnut from 1963 to 1986. He features a honey-colored body and a mane and tail so dark, he's nearly a bay. He wears an airbrushed bald face, four socks, and white ribbons with red X's on them.
This fellow is in Excellent to Near Mint condition with a few pinpoint rubs or missed spots, mild age yellowing, and factory rough spots here and there. However, it's easy to overlook all of these tiny issues when you see what a gorgeous variation he is! He is the darkest we've seen, but with highlights going all the way to white, and a speckly paint job. But there's more! He is a three-sock variation, with a solid right front leg! He also features shaded hooves, muzzle pinking, and unglossed eyes. He wears the ribbon tip, which is painted mane color on the left side. USA mark. If you love variations, this guy will delight you!
