Morganglanz ~ Samsung Woodstock - Bi-Eyes

Samsung Woodstock a warm chestnut Westphalian gelding was made famous not only for his talented jumping ability, but for the fact that he wore a "squaw bridle" or "Indian bridle" in competition.  Most people who see the photos can't believe it, and those who saw him in person scarcely could, either!  He and his trainer Susie Hutchinson won the Grand Prix of Del Mar three times, competed in the FEI World Cup Finals in 1993, and won numerous awards and accolades.  During that FEI World Cup, they finished fourth after coming around a turn only to find two members of the jump crew accidentally standing directly in front of the jump!   Woodstock wisely stopped, preventing injuries.  The men cleared the area, horse and rider circled, and then finished their clear round.  The Swedish judges didn't penalize them for the stop because of the interference, but it was a round Susie would never forget.   After Woodstock's retirement in 1998, he spent a happy retirement turned out in Hutchinson's backyard in California.

Breyer honored Samsung Woodstock with a portrait model that ran from 1996-1998.

This fellow is Near Mint with only one tiny coronet rub and a matching hoof rub.  He is marked down only for slight yellowing that you can correct with a few days of sunbathing.  He features a softly shaded muzzle and a neat stripe that includes a "hook" on one side, possibly unique.  He also sport bi-colored eyes, showing him to be made in early 1997.  That makes him by far scarcer than the black-eyed version, because 1997 was his second year of production, so fewer would have been made that year than the first year, and Breyer canceled bi-eyes after the first group for that year was made.
