The lovely Arabian mare Carinosa was the Hall of Fame Limited Edition for 2001. Carniosa+/ was a champion in Halter, Pleasure Driving and English and Western Pleasure. She was awarded the Legion of Honor and then the Legion of Supreme Honor awards from the International Arabian Horse Association's Achievement Award Program, and then she went on to produce many champion sons and daughters of her own.
Breyer's portrait model came the year after Carinosa was inducted into the Arabian Horse Hall of Fame. It displays her lovely, warm color, shaded face, hind sock and narrow stripe. Only 10,000 were made; each hand-numbered under the belly.
This sweet girl is in Body condition with a repaired (not neatly) hind leg. She has some bits of shininess from Superglue on her back and some white paint marks on her right foreleg, ear and hock that may clean off. However, she is a variation with black face shading, so if you like variations, she may be worth adding to your lineup as a variation piece.
