Safari is a family-owned company that was created to help bring awareness and love for our planet to all generations, by letting people hold model representations of endangered wild animals. They have expanded their lines now to include horses, farm animals, famous people, and even magical creatures, but their philosophy remains the same. We love supporting - and collecting - Safari, and we know many of you do, too. I think you'll love them even more after reading this!

Showing Some Love to Our Planet One Toy at a Time
Earth Day is near and dear to our hearts at Safari Ltd. One of our driving goals is to inspire future generations to preserve our environment and to cherish and protect wildlife. We believe that when kids grow up learning about and appreciating the natural world, they will be committed to cherish and preserve it. We strive to create high quality, safe, and durable educational toys with multi-generational longevity and appeal.
Every year, we work to continue to improve and lessen our carbon footprint. We’re not perfect, but we’re trying. We are continuously educating ourselves, designing products to bring awareness to endangered species and making our packaging more eco-friendly. At Safari Ltd, our products feature minimal packaging to reduce waste, and what packaging we do utilize is reusable, recyclable or biodegradable. Our hangtags are printed with vegetable based, environmentally protective ink and are recyclable. They do not use any UV coating and use a water-based varnishing.
Our toys are made of a non-toxic PVC plastic NOT disposable plastic (which is the overwhelmingly large part of the issue with plastics in the ocean). The paints used are free of lead, phthalates and BPA. We perform rigorous testing on our toys every year to ensure that they meet or exceed global safety standards. We want you to have the confidence to know Safari Ltd products are some of the safest toys on the market!
Our products themselves are meant to be treasures that last a lifetime. The durability of our toys allows for them to be enjoyed by multiple generations as well as be up-cycled and used in art and craft projects or as household décor items. We also strongly encourage that our SafariFans, rather than throw out our products if they are no longer being used, donate them to a local charity. However, if they choose to dispose of the toy, we humbly ask you to recycle them, as they are 100% recyclable!
If you're in New England, you can also buy Safari Ltd models right in our Hiram, Maine, store, and also find them at our pop-up store at Fryeburg Fair in October!
