Seabiscuit got to be a chestnut with no white markings for the Sears holiday catalog in 1989. Only 4500 of these guys were made, and they're hard to find today.
This fellow is Near Mint with no rubs or marks. I'm only marking him down for something that is just part of the painting process - Vintage chestnut coats often develop "separation dappling," with is the appearance of subtly lighter colored "dapples" over time. On some horses, this actually enhances their color, and he's one of them. They add some depth to an otherwise uniform coat color, and his darker mane and tail accent him well.
