Smart Little Lena was short in stature, but big in brains and cow sense. He never reached 14 hands high, but became one of the top Cutting Horses in the world, the first to win the NCHA Triple Crown, and earned over $700,000 in just eight shows. The little chestnut-who-could went on to become one of the breed's most influential sires, with get that includes Smart Chic Olena.

Breyer honored this handsome chestnut with a portrait model as their 2004 Commemorative Edition. He wears the stallion's rich chestnut coat, hind socks, and blaze. He was originally sold as a set with a black Hereford cutting calf.
This fellow is Factory Mint with pretty highlights and bright whites. Not only is he a numbered Commemorative Edition (#6195/10,000), but he is also signed by famous Quarter Horse trainer Mike Major! He's very likely the only Lena model ever signed by this Road to the Horse winner, as his owner got him signed at the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo prior to 2008. Mike owns some of Lena's sons and daughters. What a neat, unique piece.
