Standing Thoroughbred ~ Ruffian - Breyerfest 2018 SR

Ruffian is one of the most famous racing mares of all time.  She won ten consecutive races as a two- and three-year-old.  Her stellar career was sadly cut short by a fatal injury during a match race with Kentucky Derby winner Foolish Pleasure, and efforts to save her were unsuccessful.  She was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, and has been immortalized with a movie and this lovely sculpt by Maureen Love.

  [the unforgettable Ruffian]

This little portrait model was one of the Single-Day Stablemates for Breyerfest 2018.  Only 1750 were made.  She shows off Ruffian's dark bay coat, hind sock, and little star, all under a glossy finish.  These are highly sought-after, so if you don't have one, don't hesitate or she'll be gone!

She is Factory Mint with beautiful highlights and a luscious glossy finish.
