Phar Lap, Light Chestnut ~ Only 500 made! (shrinky)

In 1988 Your Horse Source commissioned Breyer to make the Phar Lap mold in three special colors for them in runs of only 500 each.  This is the stunning light chestnut.  He is done in caramel chestnut with lovely shading, including shaded knees and hocks over airbrushed socks.  This has been the most popular of the four colors, and since most have disappeared into collections, he is hard to find today.

He's hard to rate, because he's a shrinky, as is this entire release.  He's a nice shrinky, staying proportional and standing well at this point.  (Be aware that he'll continue to shrink after his photos were taken.)  He's a cute little guy!  His whites have darkened a little, as shrinkies do, and he has a few pinpoint rubs - Eartips, muzzle, and right barrel, and a couple of small shiny marks.  He displays really well, with pretty highlights and soft grey shading that adds depth to his color.

He stands pretty well, but this mold is known to often be tippy, so we recommend Museum Putty as cheap insurance.
