Nevada Joe Sterling is an American Mustang who got the opportunity to represent his breed and educate people around the country. The owner of the Wahl Clippers brand teamed up with "Horse Illustrated Magazine" to help promote Mustangs (as well as their brands) by adopting an older wild Mustang and following his progress through the gentling process. Nevada Joe was a 6-year-old dark bay gelding when he was adopted from the holding pens and thrust into stardom. Renowned trainer Pat Parelli was brought on to work with him, and together, they toured the country, bringing awareness to wild Mustangs, both on the range and as partners and companions.

Breyer's portrait model of Joe shows off his dark bay coat, BLM freeze brand, two hind socks, and wild spirit. It was only available through Tractor Supply Co in 2002, and a portion of its original sale was donated to BLM to help them care for wild horses in the American West. Only 5,500 were made.
This fellow is in Excellent condition, marked down only for strong yellowing in his little hind socks. Sunbathe him for a few days to brighten them back up and I'd expect him to rate Factory Mint. He features beautiful shading and highlights. He is hand-numbered as #05219/5,500 under his belly in neat silver print. He even comes with the benefit sticker from his box (not pictured). He is hand-numbered 5219 / 5500.
Like all on his mold, he's very tippy, so we recommend Museum Putty or a Horse Safety Rack to keep him safely upright.
