This beautiful, artist-made sandbag doll has a hand-painted ceramic head and legs, sandbag body, and wears a red gingham dress, red apron, and natural cotton "bloomers." She's a big girl: Her ceramic head is 6" from front to back, and she's extremely well made, with quality fabric, professional stitching, and very prettily painted head and legs. She's a vintage girl, too, as she's been in Eleda's personal collection since the 1990s, and wasn't new when I got her. I have never seen another like her, and assume she's one-of-a-kind.
She is in Excellent condition with just normal age yellowing of her cotton fabric and some small silver marks on her hooves from touching the opposite shoe when posed. She's also a little dusty from being on display. I've wiped her down, but I'm sure you'll still find dusty spots, so I wanted to mention it. Because her body is heavy, she sits well, and can dangle her feet over the edge of a shelf. She weighs approximately six pounds, so carrying her is a lot like carrying a real baby!
Because she weighs 6 pounds and is fragile, we recommend you order her without anything else on the order, to keep her safe. If ordered on the same order with other items, an oversized box will be needed, because she'll be heavily wrapped, or put in an inner box, for safe traveling.
