Fell Pony ~ Carltonlima Emma, the Queen's Fell Pony

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's favorite Fell Pony was the solid black Carltonlima Emma, who, with her steady stride and gentle temperament took good care of the Queen.  Even into her 80s, Queen Elizabeth would be seen still enjoying rides her through the park.  The Breyer mold was sculpted by Kathleen Moody, who is known for her detailed "hair work," perfect for a breed with such a long, flowing mane, tail and feathers.

Emma was honored by Breyer in 2015 with her own original sculpt.  Her original portrait release ran until 2020.  When Queen Elizabeth passed away in 2023, Emma and her groom stood beside the road as her coffin went past, tacked up for riding, with one of the Queen's headscarves draped over her saddle. Emma seemed to bow her head in respect as the procession passed, in images horse lovers will never forget.

Following the Queen's passing, Breyer has re-released the model as a Special Edition in 2023.  This Special Edition wears a royal purple sash with a rosette, bearing her name in silver.  A portion of the proceeds from her sale will be donated to the Fell Pony Society and Girlguiding, two organizations that Queen Elizabeth was passionate about.
