Legend will be familiar to those who have attended Breyerfest in the last couple of years. He is a Drum Horse with a distinctive medicine hat pinto coat who is part of Kentucky Horse Park's Mounted Police team.

For his portrait model, Breyer chose the sturdy Rhennish Draft Horse, whose long forelock and feathers make him perfect for Legend. The model shows off his medicine hat and shield markings, which "legend" says grant protection to such a horse and his rider, and his mixed black-and-white forelock and tail.
