Walking Thoroughbred ~ Cody's Wish

Cody's Wish is a special horse indeed.  In 2018, Cody Dorman was dealing with a genetic disorder and was granted a wish by Make-A-Wish.  Part of his wish was to meet a racehorse, so a trip was arranged for him and his family to visit a thoroughbred farm in Gainsborough, KY.   During that trip, a wealing walked up to Cody and put his head in his lap.  With this touching site, the owners named that colt Cody's Wish.  Wish won the 2022 Breeder's Cup Dirt Mile, bringing his story to the public.  He was awarded the 2022 Secretariat Vox Populi Award, which honors a horse whose story or achievements touch the hearts of the public.   Have tissues ready for this beautiful video:

His portrait model is on the Walking Thoroughbred (aka Carrick) mold.  It shows off his sweet star and one striped hoof.  As part of this release, Breyer is donating $10,000 to Make-A-Wish to help other young people who are struggling have beautiful, life-changing experiences of their own.  His portrait was released in the fall of 2023.
