This piece matches the Britains Prairie Schooner on https://britains-toy-soldiers.org/, so even though it doesn't have a maker's mark, we believe it is a 1950s piece by Britains Ltd. It is completely metal, including the wagon's canopy. The canopy was painted to look used, but has gained additional patina and marks over time, and some of the paint is chipping off the bottom of the wagon. Originally it had a driver and passenger, as well as four horses, no longer included. It still has its canopy with all of the hooks that hold it onto the wagon intact. It also includes the tailgate, which still works and is hard to find on pieces like this that are 70+ years old. In addition, it comes with its metal bracket that acts as attachments for horses... A piece that is almost always lost!
Besides being a great vintage collectible itself, it would work well in a Harness Class or diorama with a team of Stablemates. Photo included showing SM Othello for scale.
