El Pastor - Original Release
Low stock: 1 left
El Pastor was a Foundation Sire of the Paso Fino Horse Association. Brought to the US as a young stud, El Pastor rose to become 8-Time National Champion and 2-Time National Grand Champion. He sired 164 foals, and 21% of them went on to become National or National Reserve Champions!
Chris Hess sculpted this portrait model for El Pastor in 1974. It shows off his beautiful bay coat, two socks and star. The release was retired in 1981.
He is Near Mint with two tiny white marks on his nose, a pinpoint rub on his left shoulder, one inside his left foreleg, one on his left hind hoof, and one pinpoint eartip rub. He also shows mild age yellowing. He features a beautiful, vintage, speckly coat, grey muzzle shading, and unglossed eyes. He also has a tiny hole in the bottom of his right front hoof, so he may have once been part of a retail display.
